Mine locked on my once (2001 ZX3) - called Ford Roadside, truck driver came, put the key in as far as it would go - hit it with his palm - and got the car started.

This was about 6 months ago, haven't had a problem with it since, but feel free to add me to the list, cause I'm sure its gonna break very soon.
