Besides, potential purchasers of used Foci looking to mod it most likely won't consider touching the motor unless everything is intact and running well.

If they have the money to build a longblock (or at least do a mild amount of work to it), they're not going to be looking towards a more budget-conscious $2-3k kit, they're going to want the full deal or build it themselves. That is a different target group than the one to which you referred in your original argument for FS developing a Zetec kit.

I understand that. But my last post was a direct reply to your last response.

I was going off a tangent I guess...referring to the used-Foci-purchaser group that Tin brought up.
Even then, and going back to the original intended target group, there still will be individuals who choose to purchase a ~$3k FocusSport turbo kit, while utilizing a built longblock [refer to tparker]. Why? Simply because it's from turbo kit being sold by FocusSport. Not only are you getting a base turbo kit, but you're [most likely] getting the option of upgradability, you're getting great customer service, you're getting real, live online support directly from the people who sold you the product, and you're getting quality pieces in your setup.
It's the value-added in the product that makes consumers move.
BTW, I'm in the market for a turbo setup, and I have a built longblock
