Official fix is to replace the DPFE sensor. Supposedly in like 2003 or so they revamped the design so that it didn't fail as fast, but I've still seen them fail. I simply have the whole thing (DPFE and EGR) Disabled with my FocusSport/SCT chip, but before that I was using "Workaround #2" from the DPFE/EGR Info article listed on Focushacks.
