Seems it should have a max CFM flow limit and depending on the engine size, that will equal X PSI of boost.

I agree... I'm sure it has something to do with the SAE J-1723 standard they test by.

I was told by an engineer at Vortech that the V-5 F-Trim will flow enough to support making well over 400hp. We are probably making somewhere around 325whp @ 20psi / 7,000rpm so we're going to try and increase the efficiency of the engine so hopefully we will see less psi and more hp. We're loosing too much power creating 20psi and the added heat doesn't' help much either.
