Re: Lightweight pulleys
I know this maynot fit to a general pulley chat but I have the results from the Focussport pulley. First of all I would like to say that the installation was combined with changing middle exh box from 2inc diam to 2,16 inch diam and removing compeletely the tail box *2inch diam. I will be able to post dyno tomorrow. I had with the previous exh and the stock diameter custom alloy pulley : 158,5 hp on the flywheel -have an 1,8l - and 18,2kgm torque. I got 166,8 hp and 19,2 kgm. That is almost 8 hp increase and 1kgm. From 1500rpm to 3500 rpm increase is amazing. Like I am driving a new machine. There will be a before and after dyno posted to see all differences. Even if I suppose that 3 hp came from exh. I would say that What makes the difference is the pulley's diameter and not weight.
PS. I have got rid off the problem with the A/C. When I turned on the A/C at 3rd or 4th scale the engine used to stop in traffic. Now everything works perfectly. As a matter of fact when I turned on the A/C there was a huge difference in power, like I was loosing 20hp ... I watched from the hack menu the temperatures during these hot days - 34 -38 Celcium and I was getting no more than 99 degrees. Voltage also is a little lower with the a/c on , ICE on *no subwoofer etc. etc,all lights on, voltage is low 12v
