1. Good job Ford. You've managed to create a Saturn Ion. Just in time too, seeing as Saturn's killing theirs off.

4. It doesn't look bad. I'm not a huge fan of the front-end (although it is definitely distinctive, much like the Honda CR-V) but the rest seems fine to me.

No five-speed auto? No hatches? No 2.3? Interesting.

Still, if the ride and handling characteristics have been improved that much, then this will probably be a fantastic driving car - better than anything in its class except maybe the Mazda3, which it will probably be on par with.

6. looks like a major improvement to the last generation in every way, and it almost looks like a step between what we have now, and what the Europeans have, like Ford is trying to ease their way into the awesome Euro style. If that's it, fine, this car is still gonna attract a lot of customers.

9. I currently drive a 2005 Focus, and although I think this 2008 exterior is only somewhat better, the interior is a very welcome improvement. As #4 says, if the ride and handling enhancements aren't being exaggerated, this will be a good buy for the money. I wasn't sure if I'd keep the Focus on my list for next time, but now I probably will.
