I've never shifted slow enough to hit the limiter between shifts w/o lifting.

Or if I am, it's not there long enough to notice. I'm in the next gear within 1 tick of the limiter.

Now, laying it on the limiter while spinning through 1st/2nd, while waiting for the car to catch up w/ the driveline, that's a whole different case of bananas
