August 07 FOTM was for cars with over 100K miles. Here's who won:

Going by your basis for this Carbon Fiber category this month, the car with the most miles should have won. But it didn't. The only criteria required to be in that competition was to have over 100K miles. The rest was up to each person to decide which car was their favorite.

Looks pretty stock from the outside doesn't it? Well, the majority voted for him based on what he has done to the engine and the fact that he does performance events with the car like auto-x and rally. Plus, two of the other cars in the running were white with white wheels. Does that mean the one with the most white should have won to you?
It has been stated many times before, it is up to each individual to decide how they decide which car is FOTM
for them. It's not just about how well it meets the monthy criteria, or just about how it looks. Some vote for the car they think looks the best, some vote on the car that best meets the category for the month, some vote for their friends, some vote for the car that is used the most, some vote based on a combination of all these and many more criteria.
If it was simply "who has the most CF?", then it wouldn't be an opinionated vote, it would be a quantitative decision that wouldn't need the entire comunity to decide.
