Technical Bulletin for RPMs for SVT Motors.

The RPM limits for the SVT Motors have been changed from 7,000 to 7,400 rpms.

NEW RULE for 11.20 RPM Limits
The following RPM limits shall apply:
• Duratec 2.3 6800 rpm
• Duratec 2.0 7200 rpm
• Zetec 2.0 7200 rpm
• SVT Zetec 7400 rpm

Clarifications to rule 6.1.2 Engine/Transmission.

I have received an email and also replayed to a post in the NASA forums about Mazda Engines.

Currently under the 2008 Spec Focus Rules only Ford Duratec, Zetec, and SVT motors can be used. Mazda MZR 23 and MZR 20s are not allowed. Also Euro Duratec Motors and ECUs is not allowed as well.

In the rules where it states OEM, that means US Market OEM items. Not Euro OEM.

Theres a note in the rules (Section 6.1) which states that "all parts, unless otherwise noted, must be from US or Canadian models in mass production, and must be commonly available." So I think you have this covered.
