Spec Focus Cup Points (4/29/2008)
Spec Focus Cup
NASA Spec Focus is proud to announce a new format Championship to go along with the current Regional Championship and National Championship.
This will be a Points Driven Series based on Individual Regional races through out the season. Each driver will receive points based on his or hers finishing position in their region. The totals of the points will be used to determine the Spec Focus Championship Cup. This will help drivers in different regions compete against others for points/awards/prizes.
Because of the chances that we could have single cars running in a Region, These single car will not receive full points for his or hers 1st place finish, they will receive partial points for his race (See below). But, realistically have an excellent chance of still winning “The Cup”.
The winner will receive the Spec Focus Championship Cup along with Contingency money and prizes that will be announced later.
The points will be added from the drivers top 15 races during a single season. The National Championship race will count towards points (Qualifying Races do not). We understand that not all regions have a full 20 regional races a year, so only the top 15 races will count.
