Default Re: The trials and Tribulations of Buying a Euro Bumper

I feel your pain. I am doing an ST170 conversion as well. I have a friend in the UK forwarding the parts to me. I was scammed on ebay.co.uk from a seller with 2000+ feedback that seemed safe when ordering the front bumper . I had to do a charge back through paypal which took 4 weeks. I finally got the money back and ordered another which arrived at the UK address in 2 days. They shipped the euro 98 bumper instead of the ST/2002 one. It is getting returned next week and supposedly they will refund the shipping charge and send the correct one out.

I believe I paid more for the ST170 grille than I did for the bumper cover. It took forever to hunt down the 2002 glass fog light bezels for a decent price. I had no real issues with getting the front trim pieces. However, I can not locate the factory front lip anywhere. I haven't had any luck with the front tow eye cover either. I bought the rear bumper painted black with all lights and trim installed from a wrecked car in London so that has the tow eye cover installed.

I am hoping to get everything here, together and painted before FOTB.

Good luck with your conversion.

Here are some of my parts sitting in the UK....
