See, that sounds like a good plan, though. If they are going to push the Focus as the upscale compact in America, they need a replacement. I would imagine they are going to slip the Fiesta in right where the Focus is now, and up the price/options of the Focus that year. After a year of the Fiesta being out (effectively taking the place of the Focus in the market) the newer, more refined, more expensive and higher quality Focus will be debuted. This will take a few years of reputation building. Ford is
definetely on the right track for un-cheapening the Focus to a point where the current Euro Focus could establish a market dominance in America, while also giving adequate time to slip something else (Fiesta) into the spot the Focus will leave void.
