Default Re: preparing for turbo

stock internals... i wouldnt push past around 12psi... and thats a bit high.

to push 16+ psi safely... rods, pistons, possibly larger injectors depending on what came w/ ur kit... and a tune for the increased boost level...

w/ a stock head... stock intake.... stock cams.... full exhaust (2.5" or larger)... the turbo kit at 16 or so psi and a decent tune would probably put you in the high 200's...

if you arnt wanting to go over 300 or so whp... you could look into svt internals (if your car is Zetec based) or an svt shortblock.... they are known to hold 350whp on a good tune... and thats what im using in my turbo build... im not too sure about what the duratec's will hold up to in stock form... but i wouldnt push 16psi on it either way.

hope that helps a little... and maybe someone w/ a little more experience will chime in.

good luck
