this is correct... bottle explosions generally occur with a bottle heater left on and the bottle closed.
bottle heaters usually have pressure sensors that control when they turn on and off, but they generally require the bottle to be open to read the bottle pressure, which is why thte heaters won't shut off when the bottle is closed, leading to a burst disc or worse.
