i guess it depends on how good of a driver you are. i don't have any times for those tracks you mentioned but me, craig and matt run midpack with the miatas at mid-ohio. craig is only a few seconds off the top miatas. spec miata might be a tough class to start out in. if you did buy a miata i would recommend running PT until you had a lot of seat time. the miata group is a very aggressive group. they don't call them spec piñatas for nothing.
