In addition to this, I am going to add:
LaminX would be a nice addition to the lexan, to keep them scratch and pit free. But this stuff will most definitely prevent breakage. We see huge ol' boulders in the road here, so Laminx alone won't cut it.
I have noticed in heavy rains and heavy traffic, that a tiny bit of moisture vapor will creep in there. There is still a gap around the fog on the backside of the bumper. I was going to completely seal it up, but decided to let it vent to help keep any potential heat issues at a minimal. No worries, it dries quickly...there is plenty of room for them to breath. I have been using this set up for a few months now and have had no ill effects.
Hope this is helpful to some of you who are sick of replacing fogs.
