Might I suggest the 16x7 grid 40 mm offset with 205/50/16 tires as modeled here by our very own FJ Distinguished Advisor - Z63R:

I think these wheels/offset give the best of both sides of the equation plus they're not too pricey. He's even got the SVT suspension to boot. Copy anything on this car and you'll be golden.
