    Default New C-F-M Turbo Downpipe

Like some of you guys already know we have this Spa DIY turbo kit on sale for $990.00

    http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...odID=1831&HS=1

    This kit includes
    SPA Turbo 5250 turbocharger ( .48 or .63 hot housing )
SPA Turbo 35mm MCS wastegate ( dual stage boost controller )
    Turbo TM-FD-01 Ford Focus Zetec 1.8L / 2.0L 16 valve T3 manifold
SPA Turbo gasket set ( oil feed , oil return , downpipe & turbocharger )
SPA Turbo studs & nuts (downpipe , turbocharger & wastegate )

We know is not easy find a good fabricator, so we decide to make our downpipe for this DIY kit. For just $349.95 without coating or $399.95 coated.

This downpipe is a direct bolt-on for the SPA DIY Turbo kit with SVT exhaust. The size of the downpipe is 2 1/2 and will just work with the Spa Turbo and Spa wastegate. Will work with A/C and stock fans.

We are currently making flanges, so we will have the turbo downpipe available in about 1-2 weeks.

I'm guessing the WG dump tube is custom? It'd be nice if it were included with the DP. Also, what kind of coating do you put on it? If I'm going to bother getting it coated, I would want the inside and outside coated since it could crack on the inside.

The downpipe we offer includes the section that goes to the wastegate.

The coating is the black ceramic coating good for 2000F.

Do you coat it on the inside too? Or will it do a good enough job just on the outside? What gauge thickness do you use for the DP?

Yes, it is coated inside and out.

    It is 16 gauge.

...what? Do you have it on your car? CFM themselves claim it does.

The downpipe when we made it was design using a svtf, which it does fit fine without any clearance issues.

We had a phone call from a shop saying on a regular zetec that the top a/c line coming off of the a/c compressor is hitting the downpipe.

The zetec and svtf have the same a/c compressor, but the manifold lines coming off of the a/c compressor are different part numbers for the svtf. The a/c lines I have been told are made differently for the svtf, so it can clear the svtf header.

I am thinking someone could use the svtf manifold lines, accumulator, and accumulator lines to make it work.

We will have a regular zetec here next week to look at to see how much difference there is between the a/c lines.

We could never imaging Ford making the a/c lines being different between the zetec svtf and the regular zetec. That is why when it fits up fine for the zetec svtf we said it should work on the zetec. We did not know there is a possible difference on the a/c lines until we received a phone call from that one shop telling us about that issue.
