Fuel Pump Question - Focaljet

I m having trouble with fuel pump i think, and year of 2000 model have recall on fuel pump but my vin # say nothing about it.

fuel pump you have in store is same unit that ford dealer use??

It might not be a direct fit for your focus. It's a fuel pump from the 03-04 model focus and I'm not 100% sure of what changes were made from the earlier years to 2003.

The fuel pump difference is that you have to cut out the ratainer ring from the bottom of the fuel tank in all pre-'02 Foci. The new fuel pump doesnt twist to lock into the tank. It is held down by a spring loaded top.
