Default Re: PRODUCT FAQ: SVT 65mm Throttle Body

I'm a little confused about the transition hose... you have two different kinds available on your site, but both say they are for use with an aftermarket intake and 65mm TB.

Which one would be for an AEM CAI, and what's the other one for?

The right way would be to use the transition hose, but those are on back order.

The other way is doing the 3 inch silicone hose, which would require using the existing aem hose. You would put the 3 inch hose over the throttle body. The other end of the 3 inch hose would go over the aem silicone hose. You would want to push the aem silicone hose, so it is flush with the aem intake. That way it would increase the size to 3 inch. That is no the best way to do it, but that is the way steeda does it. You may be able to find a transition hose else where.

OK, so the 3" to 2.75" hose is what I would think would be best. Thanks for the info.

The aem intake is 2.75 and the TB is 3.12. The 3'' to 2.75'' is the closes thing companies offer. It is a tight fit on the TB end, but it works.
