I'm a bit confused. Does that adapter work on a SVTF to allow the use of any shift knob while holding the SVTF boot in place? I "think" that's what I'm reading into the info on the $24.95 adapter. I'm not sure where the Reverse Lockout part comes into it. Thanks for any clarification you have on this. Ron

It is a reverse lockout delete for Foci with reverse lockout and it is a boot adapter for the SVT so you can use a reverse lockout type knob on your SVT. It will also work with other knobs but it was specifically designed to work with lockout type knobs.

I think the problem is that in the link to this in SVT, it makes it sound like people can add a reverse lockout to thier car with this adaptor, not just a knob designed for reverse lockout.

So will this adapter work with the stock shift knob? If so then I take it that with the stock shift knob this adapter acts as a holder for the shift boot, to keep it from sagging at the top of the neck after putting in the CFM adjustable shifter. Is this correct?

No, if you're using a stock SVT knob you don't need this adapter. It is only if you want to use a reverse lockout type knob (Steeda for example) on a SVT. It will help bring the boot up a little bit since it is shorter than the stock SVT knob and shorter than the reverse lockout adapter on the regular Focus.

this is the part that comes with the new adjustable shifter for MTX equipped zetec focus, correct? Is there any way to keep the reverse lockout feature of the stock focus using the new short throw shifter?

It will work with any shift knob but it will only look right when used with a reverse lockout type knob. They are in stock.
