Anyone wanna help me with the install?

I can't get the stock shifter out the plastic shifter mount. It's removed from the car and sitting on my workbench, with the 4 Torx bolts removed. How does it come out of there?

Once the 4 torx bolts are removed, you have to also remove the plate those torx are holding down, then remove the flower-clip by pushing on it with a socket to spread the "petals" out while pulling on the lever on the opposite side. It's kind of tricky but it should come out.

You're talking about the clip on the driver's side of the shifter right? I'll give that a shot and report back. Thanks.

Well that worked. That should really be listed as one of the things to do on the installation sheet.

Oh great, I broke one of the tabs on that flower-looking clip. Hopefully the shifter stays together lol.

IT'S IN!

I managed to crack the shifter base where the shifter cable's case sits, so if I shift the gears too fast, it pops out. It doesn't happen all the time, and if it does, all I have to do is take off the boot and push it back down. No big deal.

The shifter is badass though. Very smooth, extremely short throws, and the adjustability is amazing.

It is:

(Step #9)
While gently pulling on the selector arm towards the passenger side, use a ½” or 13mm long socket to release a few arms at a time on the dark gray plastic retainer. Releasing all at the same time is much more difficult. Start with a few and work your way around.

Enjoy the shifter!

I get it now lol. I thought it was talking about the 4 bolt holding the shifter base into the floorboard. "Dark gray plastic retainer" is kinda vague, just call it the flower-lookin' thing.
