We don't have PW specific instructions but if you know where your PCV hose is located then the rest is cake. If you need help during install you can always call us. We're still waiting on brackets. Hopefully we'll see them this or next week.

Does the oil separator need to be connected to the intake manifold for vacuum pressure or can it just be vented to the atmosphere by using a breather filter?

It is designed to go inline with the PCV hose. The filter will not work properly without vacuum and will end up acting more as a plug in the line.

Haven't tried it on the SPI. It should work but you will probably need different plastic fittings. Our kit was designed specifically for the Zetec setup.

You can drain the bowl without removing it by turning the plastic nut at the bottom clockwise. To loosen the bowl you turn it counterclockwise. Be careful with the o-ring when you screw it back on the block.

I bought it this summer for my turbo zetec and when a connect it inline with the PCV hose my car start to had problem, I was getting alot of smoke from the exhaust and the engine had alot of hesitation. So I had no choice to block the hose to the intake mani and put a little breather on the side of the oil separator.

I'm the only one having this issue?

The new bracket looks good, by the way.

What ever happened with the option to have it auto-drain into the engine when the car was off? Is this available?

Unfortunately, the auto drain back feature will not work with aftermarket strut tower braces due to the height at which the separator must be placed for gravity to return the oil back to the engine conflicts with the bar. We are making a shorter bracket for those with strut tower braces that would like to keep them but they won't be able to use the auto drain feature since the separator sits too low.

There are ways around this but I'm just making notes of what will happen when you use our brackets in their designated location. They could always be placed elsewhere via a different attachment method.

Bump! Are these parts standard in the kit? Do I need to call to order a kit with them? Did they not make it into production?

That's exactly why I'm wondering what happened with the drain-back feature.

You'd have to find a higher mounting position for the catchcan if you want to drain back into the valve cover. Otherwise you could leave it where it is and tap into the windage tray.

This is something we looked into, but have not be able to have the time to complete, as we been working on other projects. Sorry, I am not sure when or if we will complete this feature.

I've noticed a milky paste-like substance pooling at the bottom of the separator container as it gets filled with oil. This is only the third time I've emptied it. Anyone else seen this or know what it is?
