Default Russell Brake Bleeders?

I am interested in doing my own brake work on my SVTF. I will need new pads rotors. I am also going to replace my brake fluid. I noticed the Russell speed bleeders and bleeder bags on your site and had a few questions.

1. Do the bleeders permanently replace the stock bleeders?
2. If so, what is the bleeding process? How do they function?

I guess what I'm asking is is this something that someone who has above average mechanical skills going to be able to accomplish in a few hours (less than 3)?

Thanks ahead of time for any help, Nate.

The bleeders replace the factory pieces. To bleed the brakes, you just loosen the bleeder and pump the brakes until all the air is out of the line for the caliper you're working on. Tighten the bleeder and you're done. That easy!

With a friend you should be able to do it in 45 minutes.

Without a friend you will need a pressure bleeder on the brake fluid reservoir to apply pressure for you.

It sounds like you two are contradicting one another. CFM says it's a one man job without a pressure bleeder and belacyrf says it's a one man job only with a pressure bleeder. Which is it?

By pumping the brakes will I drain the fluid resevoir too fast for one person to refill and then continue pumping? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to do it right the first time. Nate.

Either a pressure bleeder or the one-way brake caliper bleeders make it a one man job. I guess it comes down to a matter of reliability, cost and/or preference.

Nate.. that was my bad.. for not even reading the full description. HOWEVER it seems to me you would need one of CFM's bags as well.

These bleeders allow you to sit in the car and pump the breaks. The bleeders act as a one way valve, only letting stuff out not in. However if you dont either have the bag or a friend, it will be messy
