Here is a pic of our new Focus lower trans mount prototype. Please vote whether you prefer the anodized finish to be in BLACK, SILVER or if it doesn't matter to you.

CFM Lower Mount features:

Available with Street or Race bushings
One piece bushings
Wide body for better bushing support
Larger bushing on transmission side decreases vibration
Made from billet aluminum
Anodized for lasting looks

Are you guys going to do the other 2 mounts?

Whats the differance between the 2 buxhing materials? Guessing one is rubber the other poly?

We might be adding the other mounts to our product line but this is the mount that needs the most improvement since we've had several of the two piece bushings fail under higher amounts of torque.

Both bushings are poly. They are made of different durometers (hardness).

That is what we have been thinking all along but we weren't sure (and afraid) that if it wasn't bright people wouldn't like it because that is what they are used to seeing.

On a more serious note tho, would it be possible to show a side by side comparison between the prototype and the VF, Mac or Steeda mounts? The CFM ones are suppose to be slightly bigger correct?

The bushings will be RED no matter what. We took the best qualities of all available mounts and combined them into one. Our first post describes the enhancements over other available mounts. We should receive a complete prototype sometime next week. We can do a side by side comparison then.

Anodize it plaid....or silver, or red, or anything. I prefer black. I don't need show but I do need go. I have the MAC lower mount. Meh, its okay but I think it could be improved upon. Regardless of the color, I'm probably just going to powdercoat it or rubberized undercoat it like all the other other "exposed stuff" I've installed. cadmium plated Grade 8 bolts would be nice. Stainless would be nicer if they're strong enough.

i think most people who would have issues with the VF mount failing probably wont care if the lower mount isn't polished....

I voted black... it's not like it needs to be silver and/or polished... besides, who really gets on their stomach to show someone their polished silver lower trans mount anyways? i highly doubt it would be someone in a FI Focus!

FS 4-1 header, Magnaflow catback w/ resonator, Crane 0012 cams, SVT DSI, custom air intake, VF solid poly mounts, the rest, doesn't add to the 'go' factor, therefore, not important.
