COSTV03
Hopefully thats a built engine your reving that high with because if it hasn't broken yet fatigue damage is setting in and it's just a waiting game. Even yet , like William said you would need to dyno it because I'll bet the power band dropped way before then and it's a waste of time and risk. Good luck with it though[/quote]

Im sure that Fatigue has set in and i'm just waiting on money to rebuild my engine. BUT I do have a set of VERY HOT cams with a head to match it that breathes VERY well at anything over .210 valve lift. Soooo...YES my car does make more power and NO the powerband has not dropped off and doesn't until about 92~9300 ish.
P.S. The valves have given out much quicker than the motor...
Also yes I have this oil pump. Its rock solid.

Coolio! BTW, do you sell just the gears by itself?

They are sold with the pump because it is not recommended that you install them on a used oil pump.

Ever think of an upgraded oil pump for the Duratec? I'd love to have some sense of mind if I decided to push my engine past 7500.

Does it make sense putting these in if I only plan to go to around 7,400-7,500rpm?

If your going to 7,500 rpms, I can see where it can be easy to accidently go a few hundred rpms about that. It would not hurt to buy one to be safe. If you don't get one, I would recommend playing it safe and shifting at 7,200 rpms.
