Question CFM Zetec 65mm Throttle Body question

First off, I'm new here so if this is in the wrong area, please let me know where I should be posting. About 3 weeks ago I purchased the CFM 65mm TB for my '01 SE (Zetec/MTX) the part was made really well, and bolted on very easily, The throttle response seems way better and I believe its working as it should. BUT i have 2 issues one more of one than the other. first is pedal travel, I swear this is at WOT at maybe half of the pedals travel, not so much a problem if driving hard, but if just trying to slowly creep around town its hard to take off without spinning the tires, my GF hates it, lol. can it be adjusted to INCREASE the amount of pedal travel? I noticed my stock TB had a wedge on one side of the butterfly (I assume to allow the butterfly to move a bit before actually opening. This brings me to my second issue 9and it could be related to the first. Ive encounted a few times (especially in the beginning) where the car would surge and buck in first, but fine after that (Feel like a drivers ed student who cant drive stick ) of course this wasnt the case with the stock TB. Is whats going on here normal? The surging happens much less it seems as I've 'adapted' could it be an issue w/ my TPS? (its in the correct holes) Spinning the tires at 1/2" and WOT at 1/2 of pedal travel is a bit much! Sorry for the long post and thanks for any suggestions.
