Default SVT Throttle Body

When s the 70mm TB coming out? Is it worth getting on a NA car or should i just get a 65mm.

The 70mm will show little to no gains on a naturally aspirated SVT. The larger throttle body will only help in those situations where added flow is needed. (Forced induction). Just stick with the 65mm throttle body!

Due to the lack of aftermarket camshaft availability we have had to put that project on hold. We have been waiting over 6 months for a pair of Catcams from the US distributor and have yet to see anything. 70mm would be the way to go for a Stage 2+ head with aggressive cams. For the stock head/cams, 65mm is more than enough.

Size is not as critical for forced induction unless you're running a JRSC.

Hey guys quick question about the 65mm TB.

1. Can you spell out what improvments you made over the original FC version?
2. Is it possible to get it in Mill finish or silver even if I have to wait?

Thanks!

Would a 70 mm throttle body be overkill for the JRSC? I have the BBK as well.

Not as long as the inlet of the supercharger can flow the same or more air than the throttle body.

oh, just measure the damn whole. Duh. Thought thier was an actual measurement of air flow besides the hole size. Woops

If you could put the supercharger housing and then the throttle body on a flow bench, you could get a very accurate #'s for air flow through each. Raw area measurements won't give you a true indication of flow capabilities due to the surface finishes, and irregular shapes the air must flow over and around. Nate
