Default c-f-m short shifter..

I just got your adjustable short shifter from a fellow jetter for the stock zx3. I have the svt shifter base and bottom half of the shifter is too long and hit the bottom of the base. Is there anything I need to do or something additional i would need to buy to make it work with my current shifter base??

If you have an SVT base, then you'll need an SVT shifter.

The two are different.

The svt shifter is for the svt and the focus shifter is for the mtx. There are two different ones.

my orignal question was..if there was something that i can do to make the shifter work with the svt base..Ithe shifter seems to long to work with the base i am currently using..how ever the stock shifter seems to work fine with it. is there a spacer or something i can buy to make the shifter work? it looks like it needs about another 1/4 of an inch so it can work with the svt base...

Seems like it would be far easier and safer to buy the SVT shifter and probably not that much more expensive. Just my .02

The zetec shifter is longer than the svtf shifter. You may need to either switch back to the zetec shifter base or get a svtf shifter and make that work.

Yeah I just installed mine two weeks ago. It's awesome, makes the Bimmer feel like I'm shifting a semi.
