Default Tial 50mm BOV

Does this BOV come with the mounting flange and clamp? Also, would this be too extreme for a Focus running between 15-20psi? http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...OD&ProdID=1443

I can answer one of your questions and that is the extreemness wich its not. Your prolly thinking along the lines of wastegate mm and those sizes. BOVs have a diffrent theory

So the 50mm Tial will work fine in my application then? I was looking at the Tial and the Greddy Type RS. The reason why I asked about the Tial being too extreme is because I saw a video on youtube where the Tial caused some surging at low boost levels. It seemed to work fine at bout 20psi though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXqgTtHECnk

Who is tuning your car? I belieave the TiaL is adjustable as far as tuning goes. Also that could be a lot of things not just the BOV that chach prolly has something else wrong with his car. Im not 100% we will see what William can add. I do know that there are a lot of people who reguard the Tial as the best.

I have also heard good things about Tial products. However, I haven't seen any turbocharged Foci running them yet. I've narrowed it down to either the Tial 50mm or the Greddy Type RS 40mm. I haven't made a decision on who will be tuning it yet.

Tial makes excellent products , you choose what type of spring to run based on what your engine produces for vacuum. For example (off the top of my head) 14in/hg - 17in/hg use a 9PSI spring. The surge your hearing from the Subaru is the due to the fact the spring is too much/tight. You may get some surge at a very low load but should be nothing like that video. BOV must be set correctly for it to work right. Also I'd be careful with the Greddy RS I know a few guys running them with no problems and others running them and they leak. I for example am running the Type S little different then the RS but not much and have had some problems with it .. I will be changing to the Tial soon. Hope this helps!

CFM, do you have the Tial 50mm BOV in blue? Also, this does come with a mounting flange correct?

I've been running the TIAL 50mm BOV setup at 8psi for probably close to 3 years now. I have yet to have a problem with it, it works great.

Thanks! That's the kind of feedback I was looking for. What spring did you use?
