Can this be used on a stainless steel?

i used it on the lower part of my stainless header that i didnt wrap... and it still looks good after a year of abuse

Does this product recommend the part be cured in the oven after spraying for best results?

I'm actually considering using it as a protective coating on my flex pipe and exhaust system since it is only 409 stainless. I do see they make mention of the curing/baking process when applied to the heat wrap so I'm assuming it requires some kind of baking process when used directly on metal.
