Question What spark plugs should I use with the MSD Blaster Coil p/n 8241

Also installing the MSD wires p/n 32939.

I have had good success over the past two years with Brisk plugs, but am unsure if they are the best combo suited for this new coil and wires.

Any suggestions?

FWIW, I also have a SCT chip from FS.

We recommend the Denso iridium spark plugs.

This was a great upgrade, William! Thanks for the fast shipping and the phone question answers.

I highly recommend CFM's MSD Blaster Coil Pack, 8.5mm MSD wires, and Denso Iridium plugs to anyone doing a PREMIUM tune-up.

i've always liked copper. especially since it creates a better spark than any other plug, and its cheaper. however, annual service is recommended. either replace them (less than 2 dollars each, takes 15 minutes) or file them down (free, takes 20 minutes)

plugs are easy to service on our cars. take advantage of that fact.

I use Motorcraft copper as well, as I am a F/I application.

For the OP's application (according to his sig, just a bolt on or 2) the Denso are probably worth it, as he wont have to change them every 10-15k miles like I do.

***Same products but an unusual situation***

I had just installed my MSD Blaster Coil [#8241] & MSD 8.5mm Plug wires [#32939] that I ordered from CFM for my SVT Focus along with Autolite Iridium spark plugs from local auto parts store-
I started the car & it sounds completely abnormal & unsure if it is firing properly or in correct order. I immediately shut the car down & verified all my connections.

Supposedly the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the mfgr @ 50-thousandths. I was told not to verify or I could cause damage to the iridium tip.
Installed as follows-
1) Plug wires are installed [left to right facing motor] 1-2-3-4 with #1 wire being the longest.
2) MSD Coil installed but instead of the OE electrical connector facing the battery box it is now facing the radiator [it rotated 90 degrees clockwise]. The MSD instructions do not list wire connector numbers/positions - I used to OE Ford Coil, rotated it clockwise 90 degrees since the blaster coil is installed that way followed the numbers on my original coil. 1-3 [top row/ row closest to firewall] & 4-2 [bottom row/ row closest to radiator]

So looking @ the blaster coil from the front- What should be the plug wire order starting @ the top left corner & rotating clockwise?
Are the Autolite Iridiums an inferior plug?
Could my Coil be defective?

What is the part number for those autolite spark plugs?

It would be easier to troubleshoot this over the phone. Please call us at 407-339-9211 and ask for Fernando. Our phone hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Quick Udate

It seems it was the Autolite XP Iridiums Part#xp5364- with the stock coil & plug wires the car ran great. But with the MSD Coil & 8.5 Plug Wires it idle horribly. Completely Unusual. I wire brush cleaned my original Motorcraft Platinums & re-installed them with the MSD still installed- Car is back to normal!

Autolite XP Iridiums great on a completely stock motor- Bad on aftermarket coil & plug wires.

Heard it is hard to beat the stock Motorcraft plugs that come in these cars...I just want to change my wires and use the stock coil and plugs.....Had thought about doing it on my up coming timing belt replacement.
