Installed Clutchmasters Stage 1 with the flywheel about 5 month ago.
Normal street driving, stock SVTF, 15 k max.. Salve cylinder just died, crap! And it was changed too as came with the set! Now I have to get theese guds opened again.... Do I need to consider changing clutch disk just in case it is the same crap??? |

Clutch masters uses the LUK slave cylinder, which is the same as the factory and like Spec. I am not sure why something like that would happen, as it is not common. If the slave cylinder went out, I would recommend inspecting the clutch disk to see if the clutch disk needs to be changed out.

I have the exact same problem with the CM stage 1 . So I replaced the Luk slave with a OEM from Ford on 9/4. Guess what,... slave started to leak during the long tedious bleeding process. WTFIGO. Im thinking that it might be a distance problem or out of spec problem maybe.

i've replaced my master cylinder TWICE since installing the stage 1 cm. it leaked in march and it leaked in september. just kind of slow, when you watch the plunger as you push the clutch pedal in, when it retracts you see a little brake fluid crawl down the plunger rod. as it accumulates at the bottom of the plunger, it drips down the brake pedal shaft about half-way until finally dripping onto the interior carpet behind the pedal.
when you replace your clutch master cylinder, I HIGHLY recommend replacing the o-rings for the inlet/outlet fittings. and when installing the new master through the firewall, line up the lines into the master's fittings before installing the retaining ring and bolting the pedal assy down in the interior. reason being the hard line is NOT flexible and is almost impossible to reposition. it's a bitch. i've never owned a car with a plastic master cylinder. its a complete piece of **** LuK design.
