Cat Cams at PRI Orlando - The Ford Focus Forum

Hey guys, I just read on Cat Cams site that they'll be at the PRI Orlando tradeshow from the 11th to the 13th. They make a number of different ST170 grind cams (same as the SVT head) for turbo applications. I'm personally interested in getting cams for the JRSC and am curious if you guys will be at the show to talk to them?

I'm also sure a lot of people would like to know the OEM cam durations at .050" lift instead of 1.0mm.

Can you give me an idea of what kind of changes would be needed to the stock cams to improve JRSC performance?

Yea, that'd be nice!

I know down the road, when I get the money, I'm getting the Xios Turbo. I'm sure some cam's would a nice touch to have with the turbo.

We talked to the Cat Cams at the PRI show. They noted it takes about 3 weeks for them to make the camshafts. It looks like we should be able to offer their product. If everything goes well, we should be offering their product. We will post of something later once we have more information.

Any updates? I would be looking for a set of turbo cams for the SVT head. Probably their billet ones depending on your pricing.

I am also intreasted in some SVT cams.

I have reasontly talk with an over seas supplier and Catcams blanks were $810, not including shipping.

I would most definatly be in that market for some cams this summer.

The svt camshafts are $599.00 + shipping. One set camshafts is about $125.00 for shipping from Cat Cams to here. We would need to advertise them at $724.00 online to cover the shipping from them to us.

If we have at least 6 customers willing to do a group buy on those, we should be able to do the $599.00 price instead of $724.00.

There would also be duty fees to import the camshafts in, which hopefully will not be too much ,so hopefully we would not need to charge more.

there are 3 specs that they have and are safe for all oem parts.
except tune.

and id also talk to them about shipping again.
he quoted me 55 pounds for shipping.
about 70-75 USD to ship from there to my house.

He is wrong, and isn't taking in customs into the shipping cost. I paid an extra $100 bucks, which I was told is the minimum import fee for auto parts. (But my purchase was much larger and 5x as expensive)

Cat Cams ships the parts by ups to USA, which is rather expensive. I ask them about shipping any other methods, and they only offered that expensive method.
