Default New low price! FR SVT conversion header ceramic coated

We have decreased the pricing on the Ford racing long tube header Ceramic coated for '00-04 Ford Focus Zetec. It was $475.00 and now it is only $369.95. It is now only $40.00 more to have the ceramic coated header compared to the non-coated version. This is a big savings! Only a limited supply of these are available, so purchase one today before it is too late!

A couple of questions:

* Is this a straight up bolt on replacement for an existing SVT exhaust header?
* Is the objective here to reduce engine bay heat buildup?
- If that is the case is the information just anecdotal or is there some kind of actual data about that?

Here is the link for the header if you are looking to replace your existing svtf header. http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...OD&ProdID=1196. That one is little bit less $360.00 .

radiated heat will be much less with a coat header than a non coated header. That is why a heat shield is not needed.

I got it now. Had to read it more carefully and follow the link. Thanks. Definitely thinking about this one. Doing a little more followup. Will you take a Paypal payment? I've got a few bucks in my account now after some garage cleanout.

And: Is this coated inside and outside, or just outside?

looks like i'll be getting a header.

is this all i need to complete the full conversion:
fr svt header for zetec
cfm high-flow cat(thats when you guys have it in stock)
svt flex pipe 3-0040 or do i need a zetec flex 3-0030?

i also have borla 2 1/4 for zetec if that matters

The 3-0030 will not bolt up to the cfm high flow cat pipe or off road pipe. You would need the one for the svtf 3-0040.

You would need to figure out something to bolt up the flexpipe to the 2 1/4 exhaust. You would probably need to slot the flange on the 2 1/4 exhaust to make it work, but I think there still be a possible exhaust leak between those two difference flanges and the piping being smaller.

Thanks for the info.

Would it be best just to get exhaust ment for the svt that is 2 1/2 or exhaust ment for the zetec that is 2 1/2 ?

It's not that hard to mate an SVT flex pipe and a non-SVT exhaust. You just need patience when you slot the bolts because it'll probably take a while. It did when I put my ZX3 Borla on my SVT. Oh and use RTV when you bolt it together. Lots and lots and lots of RTV

If you're going to get the SVT flex and replace the exhaust, get one meant for the SVT. The flexpipe flanges are different sizes between the ZX3 and the SVT

What SVT3658 said is correct. You can try to make it work ,but the best way would be to get a 2 1/2 exhaust for an svt like the Borla exhaust.

Sounds good, but i may not be able to get the parts till after the end of next week. My job is having a company wide restructuring, so every position is at risk.

I have the money now and ready, plus i was gonna buy a TB w/ auto bracket, its just i dont want to spent it and then have some bad news later down the road. Just for my safety im gonna hold off, even though thats a great deal on the header. Thanks for your help though!
