Stupid question, I know ... but what makes them better than oem? Except they look really nice.
And how about some pillow balls instead of those bushings?

I would really like to hear more about this. It just doesnt seem right. I believe it, because it has been proven... but it still does not seem like something I want to do to my car. The strut perch is a metal plate molded in rubber, which is why it works, but youre still putting a ton of stress in the strut body. I have a bent strut and equally bent strut perch to prove it, lol

Sure, would love to explain. Say you put a lowering kit on your car. The bottom of the strut has now been pushed outward due to the control arm's rang of motion and arc radius. So then you "pull" the strut back in to stock specs which will actually align the strut geometry to stock specs. This means the angle that strut is as will be to stock specs and therefore have the same amount of load on it as it would see with the stock suspension setup.

So really, "pulling" was a poor word to use. Really, the act of adjusting the rod end inward is actually adjusting the strut angle back to stock.

I hope this helps.

They are better because they are adjustable, stronger, stiffer and are easily rebuildable.

A pillow ball is basically a rod end or "Heim Joint", which is what these have.

We have received the new one size larger rod end boots and we hope to have pics up tomorrow. Please remember, HTPerformance will be your North East distributor of the CFM Tubular Front Control arms AND the Central Florida Motorsports now stocks the HTPerformance Adjustable Toe Arms.

The poly bushings alone will help reduce wheel hop.

So yeah, and the poly bushings come with really nice tubular control arms!

The small two piece bushing do slide in by hand. The two big bushings are pressed in. Someone can see in the picture above how the two big bushings do not come with a sleeve. The big bushing requires the factory sleeve to be reused.

Anybody who's installed these have any issues what-so-ever?

Do you still have an introductory $349 price for the kit?

I installed the old ones from back in the day .......... Only problem I had was removing the bushing off the old arm. I had to make new bushings from brass in my shop. As ford didn't sell just that bushing.... LOL they came with the new control arm. lol
Next was install with the pillow ball or "Heim Joint" . The old design did bind when the arm was fully extracted down. Not a problem once the car was lowered. Just a little hard to install thats all.
If I can think back ? wow thats hard for me LOL There was about 15 degs off center movement ( netural ) left for arm movement up and 20 degs off center movement down ....Thats in the netural spot using B&G springs in the heim joint. This is changed by ride hieght...that was just my case if I remember right.

I never had a problem with the old arms and I did auto cross with them. After the first set failure... ( Thank god not on the track... LOL ...but pushing the car on the trailer as I heard it. ) I did reinforce mine at the weak spot.

These are great at track days...... Super Easy Adjustments !!!! and Less Weight !!!
Good to see them being made again......
thanks Avery
