Default Percision Intercooler

William,
How much power have you seen to the ground with this intercooler? Im looking for about 300+whp. Will it be able to hold it?

350hp is rating at the engine ,so it is about 300 fwhp or so at the wheels.

We used that one on the vortech svtf focus to do a custom intercooler setup. If we did a complete kit, we would use the precision intercooler since it is a good design and fits well. It is good for most customer needs.

If you looking to make over 300fwhp, you may want to look into something larger. Any of the larger intercooler will be taller and will require cutting the crash bar, so you will have to decide if that something you are willing to do or not. Personally, I would want the crash bar on my cars, but some customers had decided to cut it in order to fit a large intercooler.

The turbo car we did here and a customer car we did had a rather large intercooler, which required cutting the crash bar.

Someone would want an intercooler that can support the hp they are looking to make. If the car makes 250fwhp to 300fwhp at low boost, a intercooler the precision would be fine. If a car makes more hp than ther intercooler can support, someone would notice intercooler is not able to remove the heat from the hot air going into the intercooler. The air intake tempatures would be higher at higher boost than at lower boost.
