Hydrolocking

ok guys today i hit a deep rain puddle and my car started to idle and stuff and then shut off on me. i got the F2 cold air but also my splash guard on the car. my homie was telling me to re oil the cone and add somed kind of cone cover that helps / repel water alil bit more..

what you guys think? just want ya 2 sense. cuz the car would run like it was struggling like if the tires were spining out and TRAC ctrl was on. . it shut off once but had trouble moving nad pick up speed a bit. i went to a gas station and left it on running for abit..

just want a lil education on hydro locking thts all please
