I'm stuck. I managed to remove the stock engine mount. I tried to install and the dogbone (the horziontional bolt) wouldn't mount on inside. It seems like the polyurethane insert is too big. Does it look like I have to shave some of it off? I jacked up the mount with the a ton weight of the car on it but it wouldn't budge.
I hope I won't have to shave some if it off. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I remember it being pretty tight but just from the looks of it that may be excessive, lube?! haha, the material should squeeze up in there you just have to make sure the bushing is lined just right I guess? dunno though shouldn't be that difficult.

I didn't use lube. I just wigged the tranny and finally got it squeeze in there. I have bolted on the horizontal bolt. I'm still struggling with the vertical bolt. The other end wouldn't line up for the bolt to go in.
![]() Edit: I jacked up the rear and it helped to line up the bolt. It's finally done after 5 hours of work (with breaks) ![]() I can't wait to drive it. ![]()

i had to jack up the engine and try to rotate it forward while using a rubber mallot to knock it into place, took me all of 5 minutes to do it never doing a mount b4 in my life. mine looked the same at one point, just gotta play around with positioning etc

easy fix,.. had same thing happen to me ever time i take the damn thing out, take the vert bolt, stick it in the bracket, and wrench it down till the little wash pops out(youll see what im talkin bout)
then tap that washer back in the other side of the hole, put the bolt back through it, and ratchet it down until the one side is flush with the inside of the braket, install motor mount, and tighten her up, until it stop moving. and maybe tighten to torque if you have a torque wrench avail bryan

with no lower mount the bottom of the engine rotates back, so you gotta rotate it back forward to get the bolt to line up

I normally remove the trans mount that the dog bone slides into
than it all goes in easier |

just make sure you get the torque correct on those bolts... last thing you want to do is strip the aluminum bracket, albeit they are not that expensive, but best done right the first time.
