Default worth it?

Since the number of Cosworth IM are dwindelling is it worth it to go ahead and purchase one? I mean I have cams now so most of my power has been shoved into the upper RPM range so would the cossie IM hurt me anymore than the cams did? I plan on going F/I in about six months but do you think its going to hurt too much to put it on now? And does FS have a tune for just the IM without it being on a turbo app.? I know you will have to get the computer re-mapped after the IM so I was needing to know who actually had a tune for this. So its either getting the IM now while there still available or going to a local racing company for a custom harness bar and getting new seats, which would yall choose?

well since they dont make them anymore and more and more people are going F/I and this is a major component in the set-up I'm almost certain their are few left.

Last I heard- Randy said they (Cosworth) were still maikng them.
I just searched and found nothing. Have you talked to Cosworth or a Cosworth dealer to confirm that they are not making them anymore?

I guess it was just a rumor that I heard that they were not making them anymore, but since Randy chimed in what are your thoughts?

They are still made.
For every 25 they make, about 5 are sold here and the other 20 are wanted in europe

My thoughts are that this rumor pops up every couple of months and is completely untrue. Cosworth can barely keep these in stock, they sell VERY well and are not at risk.

I'd use the stock manifold up until around 15 or 16 psi on the GT28R that we provide with our kit.

Now what would happen if I removed the tumbler flaps on my stock IM?

Mine has stumbling issues from about 2.5-3k especially in 2nd with the tumble flaps out. I'm planning on replacing them when i get free time.

x2 on waiting. The power curve IMO is nicer on lower (8-11psi) boost levels without it anyway.

I planned on building the motor before going turbo so I could run about 15-20psi on track days.
