Default Cam swap?

Ford manuals claim that the 2.0L duratec has a higher lift intake cam than the 2.3L duratec...

If thats true, then a simple swap could net a few more hp right? Anybody done this?

I was honestly comparing the duratec to another engine and wa surprised to stumble on this...

what ford manual are you lookin at. i am a ford mechanic and have access to fords online manuals.

directly out of fords workshop manual

Lobe lift — intake 8.24999 mm (0.324 in) Lobe lift — exhaust 7.80007 mm (0.307 in)
thats on a 2.0 duratec

Lobe lift — intake 8.24999 mm (0.324 in) Lobe lift — exhaust 7.80007 mm (0.307 in)
thats on a 2.3

so according to fords online manuals, the cams are the same lift. so you would be wasting your time, according to fords online manual.

Ok, most be some bad information I was looking at. I figured it was not that simple, but you never know...

Added displacement would surley increase power, I just didn't know if ford pulled the valve lift back to limit hp.

replacing cam's does not change displacement if I am correct. it was the deck height?

technically its the longer stroke of a 2.3 that increases displacement. but the taller deck height is there because of the longer stroke.
