This kit has an OEM look but offers more than OEM power. With the support of DB performance we offer a wide range of tuning options, we can support local customers as well as the customers that are far away. We have tested the kit in our cars for over 2 years and we have come up with the best turbo system for your focus. This kit is the Stage 2 kit and it comes inter cooled, 10psi to 11psi. We have tested it and we recommend not going using any higher boost level on a stock motor. This kit works on either a 5-speed or auto transmission. -On a Dynojet the OLD Intercooled F2 kit produces 191 TQ and 185 HP at 8 psi on a 2.0L Manual Transmission.

-as more dynos become available, more info will be given on both kits, including graphs, peak hp/tq rpm, comparisons of hp/tq per rpm.
F2 Also offers this kit with NO tuning or Xcalibrator tuning device for $2,695.00. It includes everything else listed.

-There is also a stage 1 kit from F2 that DOES NOT INCLUDE an intercooler or the piping for it OR a boost controller. It is $2,995.00

WHEN IT COMES TO DYNOS, EVERY DYNO IS DIFFERENT. DYNOJETS ARE DIFFERENT FROM DYNAPACKS, WHICH ARE DIFFERENT FROM DYNO DYNAMICS, WHICH ARE DIFFERENT FROM MUSTANG DYNOS, ETC. EVEN DYNOS OF THE SAME TIME WILL YIELD SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT RESULTS. IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO SET UP A DYNO TO READ HIGHER THAN IT SHOULD ADJUSTING LOAD, CORRECTION FACTORS, ETC. THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW HOW VEHICLES OR KITS COMPARE IS TO USE THE SAME DYNO IN THE SAME CONDITIONS (air temp, cooling procedure, etc)










Differences between Focussport’s and F2’s intercooled kits.

Dyno Information – Dynojets

Both vehicles in the graphs have a 2.0L Duratec Manual Transmission and are running 8psi intercooled.

However F2’s kit has a larger throttle body and a 2.25" exhaust and FSWerks kit has the stock throttle body and a 2.5" exhaust.

Based on the graphs the peak numbers for both kits are close with FSWerks kit having 10 more whp and 5 more wtq, but the F2 kit takes longer to build to the power and falls off much faster than the FSWerks kit. Also, the A/F on the F2 kit runs a little more lean than the FSWerks kit. Even though FSWerks' A/F numbers aren't listed on this graph, they go from around 12 down to 11-11.5 over the whole rpm range while F2's remain at about 12 til 7k rpms.

-Again remember that the F2 kit has a larger throttle body installed and the FSWerks kit has a 2.5" exhaust compared to 2.25" for the F2.

Here is a little info I found on the difference between both dynojet (FS) and Dynapack (F2)

Dyna-Pack
Removes the wheels and measure directly from the hub. Removing 40-52lb in unsprung and rotational weight is very significant. This dyno is also a load/brake dyno which means the operator can vary the load (brake) therefore influencing the numbers. Brake dynos are great for tuning purposes since you can vary load and tune for real world driving situations.

DynoJet-
This is an inertia dyno. You simply roll the drive wheels onto a set of ~2000lb drums. You put the car in a 1:1 gear and measure the time it takes to spin the drums in relation to engine rpm. From there, torque is read and HP is calculated.


Words of wisdom:

1) A dyno is a tuning tool...that's all. You use it to measure gains and losses from mods.
2) All dynos read a little differently

That is how the Dynopack word the HP and Torque...I have asked myself..

But we also did a comparison on the Mazda 3 Turbo we have and on the dynojet it ran 210hp and on the dyna pack it did 190hp. On the mazda 3 we use a piggy back ECU.

would like to add that f2 has a stage 1 and 2 for the ford fusion..
do you have dyno numbers for before and after for actual hp tq gains and also for the fusion.. and f2 how easy is it to have thye tune worked on say if someone changes more later like cams or pistons?????
