This is a hot set up because even with the Cossie intake manifold there is still more torque than hp. Yet, the hp is nothing to laugh at for a Garrett GT28R. Usually the manifold really kills the torque, but not with this combo.

I'm anxious to see this set up with our 9.0:1 pistons.

I've ran 8.0:1 on my car. Didn't like it. 8.5:1 is pretty good, but I like 9.0:1 better based on some of the set ups I've worked on with our projects and customers cars. What works best has a lot to do with what you are doing with the car.

What confused you, though?

^^I think he was confused because he didn't read the bottom of the dyno chart--the dyno on the last page is with a similar setup, but on 8.5:1 compression pistons--it *should* make more power at the same boost level if all other things were equal with Gube's 9:1 setup, but we'll see .

the higher comp, like 9.0 will get give you better off boost power, but really thats more for a larger turbo as even on the freeway in 5th you can still make boost with the FSwerks Kit

pretty much, but the resistance to detonation is decreased with the higher compression while still using the same octane fuel.

i cant wait to see what kind of numbers you put down bryan.

id bet 320whp would be doable at around 19psi with race gas

Race gas?

Why?

Guber can make 350+ on pump, just not on that turbo.

That turbo kicks ass. Read what I wrote about the torque. Find other 300 WHP dyno charts and then look at the torque numbers and how soon the torque kicks in, etc.

There isn't a whole lot of reason to go with much more than 300 WHP on a street car. Sure 450 WHP is fun to talk about and it's good to push the envelope with your projects, but as an end user, mega power for a street car is not practical at all.

And if you want to take this set up to the track, get some sticky tires. If you can get this to hook up, it's gonna launch like a mofo.

and still make 300~ without overspinning it? cuz i was looking at a GT28 for my build as i like how soon the boost comes on but i dont wanna kill it or have surging issues.

How much power you make will depend many things. Mods, octane, boost level, compression, elevation, programming, etc.

Now, if you just want to be running 15psi on 91 octane with some other bolt-ons...probably not gonna happen.
