Default ST Roll Call

Ok, here's the ST owner's thread we've been talking about in that other thread. What we want to do here is to take an accounting of the interested ST owners here that want to post the specifics of their cars for the sake of establishing a set of facts about the ST. That and fantastically engineered run-on sentences. I'll go first but I may need edits to be complete.

2005 Pitch Black ST

2.3l Duratec w/ Stock variable runner and tuned header

Suspension specs unknown, prolly SVT dampers w/ sedan springs

Cloth Seats with red/black pattern

Matching door inserts

Red stitching

Audiophile 6CD System with sub in the trunk.

Moonroof

Tuned exhaust w/ Stainless tip

Stainless (Ok, gray plastic) grille

Carbon fiber (Ok, painted metal) H/U bezel

Is fast?: Yes

Sounds good?: Yes

No longer wreeks of spilled kimchee juice

More to follow as it's confirmed...

Just found this...

Loaded minus side curtain airbags. Don't get me started on why any buyer at a dealership would order a car with every option minus $230.00 side curtain airbags. See sig for limited mods. Waiting for F2 to debut supercharger before making my FI choice.

Try looking at a FULLY LOADED Lincoln with a stock AM/FM stereo in it. I'm talking the whole enchilada of safety, leather, heated everything, and the premium of premium wheels, but no CD player. That made me scratch my head.

I was cruisin Teh Jet and I found a post that claims that a Jetter and Ricardo from F2 identified the suspension for the 06+ ST as:

M-18000-ZX3B Fits 2006-2009 Focus except wagon

No confirmation on the 05 though. Another Jetter commented that the above suspension was "too soft".

Suspension is my next fix/upgrade and I want to go harder if I can't get exactly what I had from the factory. Has anyone used the above suspension or its 05 equivalent on an ST? If so, how did it compare with OEM?

Also, any thoughts on FRPP versus SVT suspension kits on an 05 ST would be appreciated.

I'm going to use some aftermarket struts probably next spring when I can afford it. Something very expensive to get a good stiff setup once again.

I thought about that for a while myself but the set that was on the car when I bought it new was OEM and IMO...perfect. I would like to be about an inch lower too and I think the FRPP kit will give me that.

Here's an ST question:

How much lower than stock can you drop an ST before you need a camber kit? Can you get away with just bolts in the rear or do you need bolts and plates up front too?
