    Default Rear Track Width Spacers

Not sure if anyone has found/used them yet, I haven't seen any discussion of them and I followed the RS discussion thread religiously. I bought them a while back with the hopes of widening/staggering some EAPs (I knew I would need spacers, and hate the look of spacers so this would cut down on the size spacer I needed to run in the rear).

I'm almost positive that these are how the RS gets its 40mm wider rear track width.

It's mostly all Ford parts. I know the spacers themselves are Ford of Europe parts, 20mm per side, and so are the rivets

The kit I bought came with 2 spacers, 8 new bolts, and 4 rivets.

    How it gets installed:

-Remove the whole rear hub/brake/spindle assembly from the car
-Rivet the spacer plates to the trailing arm to hold them there
-Reinstall everything like before, but use the new bolts to bolt on the spindle because they are longer.

The place I bought the kit from no longer sells it, unfortunately. I won't be using my kit, but it's already going to a new home (a 5 lug 08 Focus)

    Technical info:

The bag of rivets was from Ford.

    As are the spacers

And the bolts are from I don't know where. They just came wrapped up with the other stuff

If you guys want any more specific info on them (like any specific numbers) let me know asap as I'll be shipping these out most likely on Monday and won't have access to them anymore

So you sold them already? I think NZ is running these. Puma Speed sells them.

Yeah they're sold, sorry. I didn't know PumaGreed sold them, I got them from European_Parts.

Yep, found them, here they are (without the rivets though): http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/showdetai...?productID=724

You could always try fordpartsuk.com to see if you can get them cheaper. Puma isn't known for their fair prices.

Very true. I was placing an order with Sascha anyway, so I just added them because it was cheaper than a separate order+shipping with Trevor.

I too bought a 20mm set from E/P. Hadn't decided to use them, 20mm is a little to much for the RS suspension, reason they sell 10mm for RS. If anyone buys a 10, I'll swap ya
I think I'm selling my set, just like SVT3658's^^^^

And no these aren't how the RS gets it wider tracking, its in the rear spindle/hub, larger and longer

This is next to a SVT spindle

And on the front, the spindles difference

I'll need the 20mm for mine since I'm keeping the SVT suspension setup for now.

Still have spacers, mines 20mm, I'd rather have 10mm, so I'm selling mine or trading for 10's

No I haven't tried to mount them yet. I know it would fill out the flare fully, probably fine if the fenders were rolled. I like driving without having to hesitate for mild bumps, if the car was a track car, seeing nice flat, none pot holes, speed bumps surface...I would have them on by now

thielt1..sorry been busy installing sprinkler system, I'll get right on those questions.

Was anyone plan on buying spacers for their project? I've got the 20mm set and would trade for a 10mm set......anyone?

Another option would be to have them machined down to your desired width...20mm might be too much, but then again, you might not like 10mm either...?

I have considered the machining route, but the cost might be higher than buying 10's....the 20's are better suited for widening the stock Focus
