I'm just curious in my 2002 Focus owners manual it states that the front Fog Light Bulbs are 899, however in the sticky it shows we can use either 893/899. Can anyone confirm this.

I've just had a hard time looking for 899 bulbs.

I do to Im looking right at it and mine. have a H7 high beam and H9 low. their espec too. Low beam/projecter is on the inner side. I has the lamp motor and on the high beam It has city lights

The front turn signals for SVT HIDs says 3457. Shouldn't this be 3157?

The rear brake/tail on the 05-06 hatchback is different then the sedan/wagon and is the 3057k according to my manual (please correct the listing).

That will make it a 27/7 watt instead of 27/8. That said, 3057, 3157 and 3357 are all interchangeable, and you can upgrade both to 3357, which is 29/8 watt.

The small wattage can't harm the casing or the wires, but the brake light output will be 25% more. This is one usefull upgrade IMHO.

Just a warning. Alot of hatchback tailights have formed a slight raise in the plastic right above the bulb from heat rise. I would stay with the 3157.

My '06 ZX4 ST with SAP fogs are H1 not H11! The plug is basically an adapter that the H1 bulb plugs into then the assembly plugs into the wiring harness. I can get pics sometime but I definately used H1s as replacements.

In that case, we should stick with the stock 3057 as stated in the manual, not the 3157. Both the 3157 and 3357 have 8 watt tail lamps. The 3057 has a 7 watt tail lamp.

Thanks for sharing though. I'll definately check the tempreture (by touching ), after the lights have been on a while, before deciding whether to 'upgrade'. The wattage is around 10% more, so it's kind of strange. The max ambient temp. in Houston is around 40 degrees celsius (metric ), and surely that would keep the casing temp with 8 watt bulbs less than what would be reached in say 50 degrees with 7 watt bulbs, which is possible in some places.

On the other hand, if you keep your foot on the brake, the power would be more than 4 times greater than this. Fortunately I have a manual and use the parking/hand/e/whatever brake at stoplights .

Can you post pic of this?

I bough H11 Xenon bulbs for this and they didn't fit. I have cibie fogs on my 06 Zx4 with the SAP front end. I pulled the bulbs and can't figure out the adapter that you are talking about. My bulbs are one piece plastic but they have the angled plastic plug not the straight spade plug that H1 bulbs have.

For making searches easier on people, the above bulbs can also be labelled as follows:

6418/C5W/5-Watt 35mm festoon
6411/10-Watt 41mm festoon

Festoon bulbs are mostly interchangable in regards to size, because the contacts can be adjusted where the bulb sits. Just make sure to use the same or less wattage as stock. If you're converting to LEDs, 6411 and 6418 are close enough in size to be interchangable in most cases, and LEDs use very little wattage, which is why most eBay LED festoon bulbs say they replace 6411, 6418, and a host of other numbers.
