What is a good price for this? I have never tinted a car before, and I am thinking I better now that I live down in Arkinsaw. <-- joke I would like to have it tinted all around, not including the windsheild of course. There are only a handful of businesses in my area that do automotive window tinting so whatever information anyone may have to make me a more well informed buyer would be great! Thanks!

I think it varies a decent bit depending on your area and stuff, but I know around here I know a guy that has a shop and has said he'll do my ZX3 35% on front and back windows for just over 100 bucks

anywhere depending on how dark you want it should be around 100$ for 35%, around 120$ for 20%, and around 140$ for 5%, and you can always tell if a shop is good if they offer the Lifetime Warranty on all thier work, just as everything else, you get what you pay for...

Pricing is one thing...there are lots of reasons why one shop is cheaper/more expensive:
- Installation (whether they use plotters to cut out the shapes or do it by hand, rear window is done in one or two pieces) - Film used (cheap dye stuff or expensive ceramics) - Quality of the workmanship If you can, ask the local dealership where they get their work done. That is one indication that they may have done some homework.

Thanks for the great info GapBoyPCS! I don't want to go cheap, I just want the most for my $$$. I thought a little fishing to see what others were paying would give me a good average on what I would be paying. I have never had a car tinted before, and I know very little about it, so the more informed I am, the better buyer I will be. Thanks again for all the info! I am thinking now 35% all around, but I don't want to go too dark, I do drive at night sometimes, and I still want to be able to see my surroundings!

The focus, the tinters call them easy money for a reason, everything can be done with 1 piece and it doesn't require a wider roll to do.

$150 to $200 seems like a nomral rate for here in socal.
Wherever you go, just make sure they have lifetime warranty, and hold onto youre reciept! Also, Id suggest having them use a ceramic based tint, rather than dye. Wont fade to that funky purple color. |

usually tint fades or discolors when you clean it with an amonia based substance.
make sure your cleaning spray is Tint safe(Does NOT contain amonia). Stoners Invisible Glass and Eagle 20/20 both work well. Stoners IMO is better b/c it foams up nicer and cleans better.
