I'm not the first, and I doubt I'll be the last. 1/8" red pinstriping!

I spent about a half hour per wheel making sure it went out as close to perfect as I could get it.

Carlisle should be good this year.

We still have a couple more weeks of below freezing temps at night here. But they'll be on soon enough!

Did you place your pinstripe some distance away from the edge of the lip? It looks like yours changes contours where the spokes meet the rim. I was only able to avoid that by going right up to the edge of the lip.

Mine appears to have been alittle thicker of a stripe, so it would go into the spoke alittle. It was right up to the edge.

Just a heads up, be weary of getting a flat of having the tires swapped, the tire machine will ruin the lip when dismounted...

what did u use for the pin striping?

gunna suck when the tires get mounted or dismounted though. probably mess that up since its not coated into the wheel

See, I didn't know they sold pinstripping on a reel. I thought it was just hand painted.

haha sorry, ive seen it done with that but i didnt know if maybe you hand painted them on. which would be a good idea and then have it cleared in.

and your right, the kumho ku31 sptZ you have is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than the older style kumho tires like the ecsta 711 and 712. the new kumhos are actually decent tires for the price. people looking for an inexpensive option should keep a look out for the new all season option coming out to replace the ASX which is rather dated

Nearly all pinstriping you see on a dealership lot is vinyl striping. I pulled it off my SVT shortly after I bought it.

I never heard them called "ku31" before. Just "Ecsta SPT" which come in Z speed rating and I think H.

yea the official model name is SPT KU31, but its just an additional model # most sites dont add on. like the ASX is the KU21 and the MX is KU15. there is also a KH line, i dont know for sure but i think its K for Kumho and U for(ultra high performance) and H for (high performance). dont quote me on that though.
