Default Rear wing

I have an 02 SVTF with a wing issue...3 years ago some dumb#$@ ran accross the top of my car . In the process broke my factory rear spoiler off. I have tried double sided tape multiple times and the heat just melts it off again. Factory says that it is taped when it comes from factory, however i tried the tape he recommends and its worthless. im very close to using jb weld but i want to replace it eventually with an aftermarket wing at some point.

Does any one know how it comes stock from Ford, and how do you recommend fixing it?

Are you using 3M double sided tape? It's grey and has a red plastic that you pull away. Pretty expensive, but that is what I have always used on body kits. Also make sure you are cleaning the area really well before sticking the tape to the car. Use a good degreaser like rubbing alcohol or a paint prep to remove the solvents/wax on the car that would prevent a good bond between the tape and the car.

ill try it again cause i dont want to use jb weld...its possible i just didn't clean it good enough. whats the hear resistance on that tape? because its stays fine in the winter but as soon as Cali heat picks up the tape melts and the wing falls off.

I do believe that the SVT wing was also attached from the factory with a couple screws

i think you might be right. there are 4 pegs on the wing. two are threaded, but none are damaged like a nut was ripped of from that f#%k nuckel stepping on it. and i don't know how i would get to them from inside the trunk lid.

you'll have to remove some panels in the trunk i belive to get at the nuts. there should be nuts on the back of the threaded ones along with the 3M trim tape.
