So you ended up running out and having to use spray cans instead? I would love to do everything including paint it myself but I dont wanna get in too far and realize the paint just isn't gonna look good unless I pay someone to do it. I painted my interior and know a little about painting so I think I can handle it. I just don't wanna go and buy expensive paint and then ruin it or have it start chipping off in no time.

I am happy with the way it turned out.
Tomorrow i'll grab pics, in 1-2 months from now, the bumper will have survived 2 years of road rash. (to be best recall -- 1 chip at the license plate recession size of a quarter. 3-4 pits about the size of the tip of a pencil) |

I don't believe i have any pics without the lip, but here are some closer ones:
![]() ![]() And as far as i know, they probably just filled right over the markers. The shop i went to was not the greatest. ![]() I also did get pulled over once for not having any marker there. Don't know how the cop spotted it, but he did. |

^^^ that looks really good without the sidemarker. i was contemplating trying to do something like that and then putting some other sidemarker in its place, but im still not sure. i might just keep the stock sidemarker there, cuz it would be a little easier, and im still a rookie at doing body work stuff like this

That looks great. I love it.
I'm going to roll the dice and try my luck, but glue the living crap out of the signal before working it in. I can imagine it would be pretty obvious for a cop who sees you turn left past him... I will definitely wait to get my hands on euro fenders first. |

ridindirtyzx3, if you do get it completed by then... I'd be amazed...
as I said before -- I spent hours and hours making mine... it takes just a few hours for the filler to cure before you can sand it. Take pics and make it happen !! |

Bumper looks hot. The officer probably knows his laws, so that's why you got pulled over. +1 for clean car and nice front bumper lip. You're going to need sidemarkers now because you don't have the bumper lenses. I strongly recommend doing it because it is a obvious safety issue.

im all over this. when i have money to get the required material. after the few pictures i opt to shave all but the turn signals. i think a nice smooth lip would set it off with the lighter colors.
the white car pictured .. is that the lower factory painted black? or is that another lip? i cant really tell. |

Regrettably, this car was totaled over 2 years ago, so it's probably just sitting in a junkyard somewhere. ![]() Quote:
IIRC it was like $200 for them to fill it all in. |

Ohhh, FYI, unless you have already done so.
Don't do the lower crevice on the lower lip of the bumper, I think the bumper needs some lines on it. I have the SVT lip on there as well, but I, from time to time... have totally abused the hell out of it, unintentionally of course. Last edited by Foci_Fosho : 06-07-2008 at 04:14 PM. |

This is my bumper cover, 2 Years After.
I'll be touching it up, and possibly shave the License plate Area, sometime this summer. |

well i already started to fill in the lower crevice part. after i started doing it, i realized its kinda pointless, because i might be putting a wings west lip kit on, which actually would cover up the lower crevice.
